I love pigeons. Especially town pigeons! They get such a hard time, and it's not their fault, they just have to pick away at and eat whatever's available.. I did a picture at work a month or so ago, of a pigeon who finds a chip. (You can see it here if you like!) So when I saw this week's Illustration Friday topic, I thought about this pigeon, and how amazing it would be if he happened upon some dessert after his chip. I imagine a cupcake would be quite a feast for him!
Oh! I'm a defender of pigeon rights too, I really am. But but but.....I had to weep at the fallen cupcake.

ReplyDeleteI enjoy the side trips too. Thanks! I had actually been trying to remember Charley Harper's name for a while because I have always loved his work, but his name doesn't stand out in my memory. Growing up by Cleveland, I saw his work every time I went to the zoo.
