Illustration Friday - Star Gazing

Cutting it a little fine, but here's my submission for this week's Illustration Friday topic.

This is the Moth King. I came up with this character after the Queen Bee picture I posted last week. I liked the idea of two characters who watched over the land at different times of the day, and wrote a poem about them. Hopefully I'll put the words and the pictures together one day, but for now, I'll post it here!

The Queen Bee takes the throne by day; the Moth King rules at night,
Flowers curl up for the moon and unfurl when it's bright.
Their castle is the countryside with carpets woven green,
And frost that sparkles for the King is fresh dew for the Queen.
The birdsong and the crickets serenade and make them proud,
He whilst gazing at the stars, and She whilst watching clouds.
