This week I've been working on a picture for a Dungeons and Dragons adventure that my boyfriend's been writing. This inn on the moors is the starting point of the adventure, which the heroes happen upon as the weather begins to turn. I thought it was fitting for this week's Illustration Friday topic too; a warm and welcome sanctuary in an otherwise barren landscape amidst an on-coming storm.
I was a little bit out of my comfort zone here! I don't often draw buildings and landscapes, tending to stick more to characters. (Though I did manage to squeeze a few birds in there. And some sheep! )
I enjoyed working on this, especially the surrounding landscape, and with a whole adventure to illustrate, there'll be plenty of chances to practice!
awesome!! i was quite lost with this concept! you made it great!! congrats!

ReplyDeleteI think you've done a very nice job. The landscape is fabulous. You did a very nice job with the grasses. I especially like the grass on the rock and house top.
