100 Followers! Time for a Giveaway!

I was thrilled today to see I've reached the heady heights of having 100 awesome people following my blog, which is so cool! For me, this is a milestone and a reason to celebrate, so I'm going to hold my very first giveaway!

I started this blog in July 2010 as a place to post up my speed-paints, and now three years on I have taken the plunge into full-time illustration.  The visits and comments I get here are appreciated more than you could know - they give me such encouragement and really lift my spirits, so thank you!

I'm very close to opening my own Etsy shop.  So close in fact that I have some prints back from the printers and ready to go.  I'm pretty excited about them - they're giclée prints on really nice heavy textured paper, and I'd like to give one away from the selection below:


I'll also make something special and handmade for the winner - possibly bird-related and made from card!  I'm still thinking on it!

So, how to enter - I'll do a traditional name-out-of-a-hat selection of the winner.  Each of the following rules gets your name into the hat once.  You can do one, two or all three of the following things:

  • Follow this blog and leave a comment here  (Do say which print you'd like if you won!)
  • 'Like' my Facebook page
  • Share this giveaway on your blog/Facebook page/Twitter or wherever!
So your name could be in the hat once, twice or three times.  Just remember to let me know in the comments section so I don't miss anything out when it comes to totaling up the names!

I'm so excited to be holding my first giveaway!  I will draw the name from the hat in two week's time, so on 20th August.

    I am already following and I liked your face page. Which is easy because I love your work. I'll also give you a shout out on my blog next Monday. Boy, I have had a hard time collecting followers. Especially artists. I think they are turned off by all the un-art related fair I post. But I post art almost every week. I get a lot of blog traffic though and have a lot of fun so that is the important thing I guess.

    Congrats on 100 followers, I was just popping over to see what you have been up to and I see this wonderful news. Good for you, it is exciting. I wish you and your beautiful illustrations many more wonderful things!

    Boy you have given us a tough choice up there, honestly any would be amazing to have, but if I had to choose I think the tea dunkin flamingo is exceptional!

    I think this is the first time I've visited your page and I'm very glad to have stopped by - your work is gorgeous and I now want to go and read back through your blog to see how you made that move to full time illustrator. You should absolutely have an Etsy shop - these prints are beautiful. I'd love the blue footed booby if I were lucky enough to win.     Congratulations on your milestone! These are terrific illustrations, each one, and I hope your Etsy shop will be very successful. (Just remember, it can take some time for people to find you, but they will! Lots of help in the forums over there if you need it.) Good luck!

    So excited for your Etsy shop!! I recently re-opened mine too. I'm not the greatest salesman though >.> I don't think I can decide on which print is my favorite though. My friend Kara loves birds if I won I would just gift one to her.
