For the first time in my life, I've joined a gym and so far stuck at it (nearly three months now). I've managed to find a small, local gym which didn't intimidate me the moment I stepped through the door, and with no groups of muscle-bound men posing in front of the mirrors..!
As I'm at home all day now, it's become a little haven for me to visit every lunchtime and meet people. They even made me member of the month last month, which I find surprising. I still find being a member of a gym at all quite surprising. All this inspired my stretch illustration this week!
I did a more cartoony picture too, but in the end, preferred the initial sketches I did (above).
The kitty in the picture was inspired by a recent Halloween event at the gym, where we dressed up in fancy dress and raised money for a local charity. I dressed as a witch (complete with stripey tights) and took a little black workout-cat along with me!
And the rainbows - just because rainbows make me happy!
