I took a new job over a year ago working as a senior environment artist on an MMO (massively multi-player online game) called Runescape, and it was a dream job - it's a fantasy game and I am a sucker for all things fantasy!

The job was fantastic, but demanding and with a lot to learn, so I started spending my evenings with my nose in a book to relax and switch my brain off for a while - I got hooked and have become quite the bookworm (with the bookshelves to prove it!).

In the past few months my circumstances have changed again. My boyfriend, Will, took a brilliant new job, but it meant a move from Cambridge where we'd been for six or so years.
After much (much!) deliberation, we moved, and I'm taking some time out to concentrate on illustration, which I feel extremely lucky to be able to do.

It's an exciting time! And I want to spend it practicing, and working on my own projects, and seeing what new ideas come up.
I'm under no illusion that everything may change again for us at any point. In the past two years, I've worked for two different companies and moved house once. In the past twelve years I've worked for six different companies and have lost count of the number of times I've moved house! So I will make the most of this time while I have it!

I'm happy to be back on the blog again - and I can't wait to revisit all the blogs and websites I was lucky enough to come across previously, and see what everyone has been up to!

However I've not been completely bone idle this past year and a half when it comes to my own artwork..!
Will and I started a Dungeons & Dragons Roleplaying blog called Beholder Pie. (It's mainly Will.. he writes all the content. I did the design and some of the artwork. Our friends contribute to the art side of things too!)
Throughout this post have been a few characters from the pages of the Pie.. more work to follow!
