Illustration Friday - Transportation

First, I'm so excited to say that I won the giveaway that was being held by the super-talented Genie Espinosa!  Yay! Thankyou Genie!

Also, here's my submission for this week's Illustration Friday topic.  I came up with the idea for this whilst having lunch by the river on Sunday.  A woman at the table next to us made a raft for her neice and nephew by weaving together twigs.  She then gave it a large leaf sail, and they sent it floating off down the river.  It was such a cute raft!  So I decided to draw it and give it a crew!

I used a brush pen for the outlines then painted it with watercolours.  This is my first go at using watercolours, but I can tell they'll be lots of fun to use!  (Especially if next time I try and use the correct paper!  :)
